🗞  Enhancements

🛠️ Maintenance Enhancements

We have been working on enhancing the Maintenance System to improve user experience. These improvements include increased VOR/On-Road prompts when updating maintenance events, new event block colours, and the development of new reports.

Maintenance Event Blocks - Darkened

We have added new colours to the Maintenance Event Blocks on the Maintenance Planner. This is to show events which have been Booked. The original colour scheme still applies, but the darker coloured blocks mean that event has been supplied a Booked Date. Though entering Booked Dates is optional, it can be beneficial for tracking when Maintenance Events, like MOTs, have been scheduled. This feature helps avoid situations where multiple personnel may inadvertently re-book the same Asset.

Days Until Blocks

We have changed the action when clicking the Days Until block, which now shows a new prompt to view the Schedule or New Due Event.

VOR Prompting on setting Available Date on Maintenance Events

When you enter an Available Date on an incomplete maintenance record (e.g. Inspection), if the Auto VOR option is disabled (or is an unscheduled event) and the asset is not current VOR for the same reason as the maintenance type, we will ask if you wish to set this asset VOR now.

Setting the VOR adds to the current VOR status. (e.g. if the Asset is VOR for MOT, this will make the asset VOR for MOT & Inspection). Or if the asset is currently On-Road, the asset will be marked as VOR for Inspection.

This is to help users stay compliant with removing assets from the road, even if Auto VOR was disabled.

On-Road Prompting on Completion of Maintenance Events

Similarly to the VOR prompts, we have added On-Roading checks. This will apply to completing an Asset Record which has the Auto VOR option disabled (or is an unscheduled event) and the asset is current VOR for the same reason as the maintenance type, we will ask if you wish to remove this VOR.

If the Asset has other VOR Reasons, this will remove this VOR reason. If this was the only reason the Asset was VOR, removing this will set the Asset On-Road. The dialog will tell you which case applies.

Other Maintenance Improvements

  • New MOT Passes Generic Report, and CSV version of MOT Failures report added.

🛞 EBPMS Enhancements

We have made a few changes to EBPMS for better visibility of EBPMS Reset actions.

EBPMS Reset

To provide a more detailed history of EBPMS reset actions, we now request users to provide a reason for each reset, recording the user who actions the reset, and restraining the reset date to the current day. This process helps fleet managers understand the reasons behind each EBPMS reset, such as when a brake inspection has been performed or when the trailer load has changed.

This information is requested when Resetting the EBPMS. You can also view the log of historical EBPMS Reset events.

The extra EBPMS reset information is then displayed on the Brake Performance Value History graph.

You can still add historical EBPMS reset dates when completing Brake Inspection events. This will add an EBPMS Reset for the inspected date.
