🗞 Enhancements
🚚 Rental Provider Dashboard Release
We have been working on a Rental Provider Dashboard. This is an easy way for rental providers to be able to ‘hire’ assets on the Axcsend Portal to other companies. Whilst on hire, the customer company will be able to temporarily access the asset’s telematics, as well as include the asset in their reports and maintenance planning. After the hire has ended, the customer company will lose access to the asset.
To get started on the Rental Dashboard, we suggest you:
Set Up Customers
Before assets can be rented out, customers must first be linked to your company. This is done through the Customer Requests section, where you can request access to new or existing customer companies.
Each request is reviewed and approved by Axscend staff to ensure the correct companies are connected. Once approved, the customer will become available for selection when creating rentals.
Start Rentals
Once your customers have been approved, you can begin creating rentals through the Manage Rentals section.
Here, you can assign one or more assets to a customer, specify when the rental should begin, and optionally set an end date. Rentals can be scheduled in advance or started immediately, giving you flexibility to manage both planned hires and last-minute requests.
As soon as a rental becomes active, the selected assets will appear in the customer’s portal, along with their associated telemetry data. When the rental ends, the assets are automatically removed from the customer’s view.
Management and Visibility
The Rental Provider Dashboard gives you full visibility and control over all rental activity across your fleet.
Through the Dashboard, you can easily monitor which assets are currently on hire, which customers they are assigned to, and your fleet rental utilisation. A clear view of upcoming and active rentals allows you to stay on top of asset availability and planning.
The Rental History provides a complete record of all rental activity, enabling you to track usage over time and review past hires. This allows you to see every rental from creation through to completion.
Finally, the Manage Rentals page allows you to make changes as your operations or requirements evolve. Whether you need to update/delete upcoming rentals or extend or shorten hire periods, you can do so quickly and efficiently in one place.
